About Port of Beirut
Port of Beirut is located at the heart of the Lebanon’s capital city, Beirut, and is one of the largest and busiest ports on the Eastern Mediterranean. As a midpoint of three continents, Europe, Asia and Africa, Port of Beirut is a passage for ship fleets between the East and the West. The Port has a total area of 1,200,000 sqm and has 4 basins, 16 quays, and a new container terminal at quay 16 capable of handling 745,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) per year.
